Swico OptiFit™ Draping System
A modular set of core drapes that adapts to the anatomy — from abdominal and orthopedic to pelvic, head-and-neck and beyond — with add-on modules only where a procedure calls for them.
One Specialty, One Pack Adds Up Fast
Most theatres stock a separate fixed-aperture pack for almost every specialty — each with its own shelf, reorder point and expiry dates. A fixed aperture fits only the procedure it was cut for, and the classic four-drape method, flexible as it is, cannot close its straight edges around a limb, a neck or a patient in lithotomy.
- Many specialty-specific SKUs to buy, store and rotate
- Fixed apertures that cannot adapt to patient or incision
- Flat drapes that cannot seal limbs or lithotomy fields
- Uncertainty over which extra items a procedure needs
Specialty-by-specialty packs
- A dedicated pack per specialty
- Aperture fixed at the factory
- Inventory grows with each service line
- Little use outside its procedure
OptiFit™ core system
- One core pack across 11 categories
- Field shaped to the procedure
- Add-on modules only where needed
- Every configuration documented
Five Core Drapes, One Adaptable System
Flat framing drapes build the operative window. The U-Lock Split Drape does what flat drapes cannot — it closes around a limb, the neck or the perineum. Together they fit the drape to the procedure, rather than the procedure to the drape.
Base-Shield Drape
Forms the lower boundary of the field and protects the lower body and table.
Head-Shield Drape
Forms the upper boundary and keeps the anaesthesia side separate from the sterile field.
Side-Frame Drapes
Close the field on the left and right, so the window follows the incision.
U-Lock Split Drape
The adaptable element. It closes around limbs, the neck and the perineum, where straight edges cannot.
Seal-Tape Strips
Secure drape overlaps and lines for a stable field from start to finish.
Waste-Catch Pouch
Collects fluid runoff at the edge of the field.
The Procedure Sets the Field. The Drapes Adapt.
A fixed-aperture drape decides the field for you. OptiFit™ works the other way round: the team frames the exposure the procedure needs, and the system adapts around it.
Exposure comes first
The framing drapes set the operative window to the patient and the incision. Nothing added afterwards is allowed to narrow it.
One split drape, many anatomies
The same U-Lock Split Drape adapts to a limb, the neck or the perineum, taking a different role in each specialty.
Nothing left to discover in theatre
Where a procedure needs an item outside the pack, it is named in advance — so the team opens exactly what the case requires.
Safety principles built into every configuration
Airway stays accessible
Face, airway device and breathing circuit remain visible and reachable.
No repositioning
A placed sterile drape is never lifted or shifted; the field is extended with a new one.
Fire and oxygen safety
Drapes are arranged so oxygen cannot collect beneath them.
Dry skin before draping
Adhesive goes only on fully dried, prepared skin.

Five sterile, individually packed modules extend the core pack for the procedures that need them. Each is ordered on its own, so no department pays for items it will not use.
Upper-Limb Shield Module
Sterile limb covering for upper-limb and mobile-arm procedures.
Lower-Limb Shield Module
Sterile limb covering for lower-limb orthopedic procedures.
Lithotomy Module
Leg coverings and an under-buttocks drape for lithotomy positioning.
Dual-Field Module
A second split drape for procedures that need a second operative field.
Fluid-Plus Module
A drainable collection pouch for high-fluid and continuous-irrigation cases.
Hospital-validated equivalents remain acceptable. Your distributor's selection guide shows which module, if any, each procedure uses.
